Words are pronounced differently from one to another even though it has the same form of writing or spelling. There is no such a clear pattern to pronounce the words. First, English is such a difficult language to be learned. There are some factors which cause this situation. It shows the failure of TEFL in Indonesia. However, students do not perform a good English proficiency and ability afterward. Teaching English as a Foreign Language (TEFL) in Indonesia is a Failure English as a foreign language has been taught as a compulsory subject in Indonesia for years starting from junior to senior high school. ![]()
